wir sind absolut beeindruckt davon, dass am vergangenen samstag aus solidarität mit allen selbstverwalteten und besetzten räumen, mit den 92 gefangenen der Villa Amalias räumung und deren wiederbesetzung[1], dem gräumten Skaramanga squat[2] und dem geräumten piraten radio 98fm, mehr als 10000 menschen in athen und anderen städten auf die strasse gegangen sind[3].

wir sind froh zu sehen, dass ihr die räumung von besetzten häusern nicht unbeantwortet lasst, das ihr neu und widerbesetzt, das ihr die angreift, die mitverantwortlich sind bei dem versuch selbstbestimmtes leben und besetzte räume zu zerstören und zu kriminalisieren, die

versuchen uns ihr blasses und freudloses bild von leben und freiheit aufzuzwingen:

unsere nachricht an euch ist einfach: hände weg von allen besetzungen und selbstverwalteten räumen. die [wieder]aneignung, selbstbestimmte und kooperative gestaltung unserer unterschiedlichen lebensräume könnt ihr nicht unterdrückt, nicht in der stadt, nicht auf dem land, nicht in den zwischenräumen. ideen könnt ihr nicht räumen.

wir befinden uns in köln seit einigen monaten auch wieder in einer bedrohten lage[4]: die politik der stadt, allen voran die regierende SPD im einklang mit den nazis von Pro-Köln und der CDU, hat bereits letztes jahr die schliessung des AZ im stadtrat abgesegnet[5].

was ist da los im kölschen klüngel?

der städtische haushalt steht vor dem kollaps[6], der dom vibriert durch die neue u-bahn linie, die politik der stadt kürzt im von ihr geförderten sozialen und kulturellen bereich, ist unfähig und unwillens eine antwort auf ewig steigende mieten und fehlenden wohnraum zu geben (außer es handelt sich um bauland für den x-ten bald wieder leerstehenden büroklotz oder um exklusive eigentumswohnungen im rheinauhafen oder im sog. gerling quartier), und glaubt beschließen zu können, dass für ein gänzlich unabhängiges, autonom organisiertes zentrum kein platz in der ganzen stadt sei? diese stadt ist ein schlechter witz, auf den es nur eine antwort gibt:

das AZ wird seit fast drei jahren in kalk von zahllosen menschen organisiert und gestaltet. mehrere räumungsversuche wurden abgewendet[7], der letzte endete anfang april 2011 mit einem unbefristeten nutzungsvertrag, nach vier tagen barrikaden, aktionen und verhandlungen[8]. seit seiner besetzung im april 2010 lebt das AZ jede woche aufs neue von ideen und veranstaltungen aller die es nutzen, ist der raum in dem wir versuchen lösungen unserer konflikte und unser miteinander auszuhandeln, manchmal erfolgreich und manchmal nicht, ist der ort in dem wir selbtbestimmung und selbstorganisation experimentieren, indem wir eine schöne anstrengende zeit haben.

so wird es auch die nächsten jahren bleiben.

wir brauchen weder städtische politik und verwaltung, noch all die, die uns erzählen wollen, was wir zu tun haben. euer reden und handeln ist nur eins: perspektivlos.

im gegenteil dazu möchten wir zwei projekten ganz in unserer nähe sagen, dass wir an euch denken und solidarisch mit euch sind.

in bonn fand am vorletzten Wochenende die erste hausbesetzung seit vielen jahren statt, mit dem ziel ein libertäres zentrum zu gründen[9]. die kampagne LIZ – her mit den libertären zentren [10] – entstand im letzten jahr und will neue selbstverwaltete räume in bonn schaffen, die ansonsten, wie in köln, dünn gesäht sind. wir freuen uns total, dass ihr das leerstehende gebäude auf dem uni-gelände in der Meckenheimer Allee 160 besetzt habt. obwohl die besetzung nur knapp einen tag andauerte und die unileitung strafanzeige wegen hausfriendensbruch stellte, macht dieser tag ganz viel mut und zeigt, dass es auch in bonn möglich ist fehlende räume zu erkämpfen, das besetzung und nutzung von leerstand ein weg dorthin ist. wir sehen uns hoffentlich bald wieder.

in siegburg ist das seit 20 jahren selbstverwaltete jugendzentrum SJZ [11] der willkür der verwaltung der stadt ausgesetzt. trotz städtischer bausmaßnahmen zum schallschutz im neuen SJZ gebäude, und trotz ausreichender schallmessungen des ordnungsamtes, kam es ende letzten jahres zu einem verbot aller veranstaltungen seitens des selben ordnungsamts, und der androhung einer sofortigen polizeilichen räumung, sollte es weitere lautstärkebeschwerden aus der nachbarschaft geben. diese drohung führte zu einem temporären stopp aller konzerte und parties. nach einer demo am 21. dezember steht das SJZ nun in verhandlung mit der stadt um einen weiteren ausbau des schallschutzes[12]. liebes SJZ, wir freuen uns, dass ihr die stadt dazu gebracht habt, innerhalb des nächsten monats alle notwendigen baumaßnahmen durchzuführen. wir finden toll dass es das SJZ gibt und wünschen euch alles liebe.

wir schicken unsere liebeserklärung auch an die ZAD[13], ein stück land bei nantes, das weiterhin besetzt ist und sich seit der widerbesetzung im november letzten jahres durch 30000+ menschen [14] gegen bewaffnete riotcops wehrt, die den nutzlosen flughafenbau, der seit den 70ern in diesem gebiet verhindert wird[15], mit tausenden tränengaskartuschen, blendgranaten und gummigeschossen durchsetzen wollen[16].

wir schicken unsere liebeserklärung auch an das Assentamento Milton Santos[17] in americana, bei campinas, in der metropolenregion são paulos, einer seit sieben jahren bestehenden landbesetzung auf der 68 familien leben und arbeiten und sich organisieren[18], die sich am 20. dezember letzten jahres mit brennenden strassenblokaden und der besetztung des büros der regierungspartei (pt/partido dos trabalhadores) in são paulo gegen eine bevorstehende räumung gewehrt haben[19] und die nun innerhalb der nächsten zwei wochen erneut geräumt werden sollen[20].

here in cologne we are stuck since several month in a similar threatening situation[4]. the cities politics, first and foremost the ruling SPD (social democrats) in line with the fascists of ProKöln and the CDU (christian democrats) already signed off the closing of the AZ (autonomous centre) in the city‘s council at the begin of last year [5].

what‘s up with cologne‘s croneyism?

the city‘s budget is collapsing soon[6], the dom (a cathedral) is shacking by the new metro line underneath , the city cuts the budget of their social and cultural engagement, is incapable and reluctant to provide answers to ever growing rents and housing shortage (except, of course, when providing building ground for the next office monolith or the exclusive condos at rheinauhafen or the gerling quarter) and the same politicians seem to believe yet that they can just decide that there is no space for an entirely independent, autonomously organised centre in the whole city? this is just a ridiculous joke and we just wanna tell you one thing:

hands off the AZ! AZ stays. period.

since almost three years the AZ is organised and shaped by innoumerous people. several evictions attempts have been prevented[7], the last attempt ended with an indefinite usage agreement[8] at the begin of april 2011, after four days of barricades, actions and negotiations. since its squatting in april 2010 the AZ lives every week anew from the multitude of ideas and impulses of its users, it is the space where we aim to negotiate our mutual cooperation and the solution of our conflicts, sometimes successful, sometime not. it is the place where we experiment and develop self-determination and self-organisation, where we spent a beautiful and exertive time.

and so will we stay in the many years to come..

we neither need public politics nor administration, nor those that try to tell us what we have to do. your talking and acting is just without prospects.

in contrast we would love to greet two projects around the corner. we would like to say hello and sent our solidarity to bonn and siegburg.

almost two weeks ago, the first squatting action since several years has been conducted in bonn[9].its aim: the establishment of a libertarian centre. the campaign called – LIZ – her mit den libertären zentren – has been formed last year in order to establish self-organised spaces in bonn[10]. as in cologne, self-organised spaces are scarce in the city. therefore we are totally happy that you have been squatting the empty building on university ground at the Meckenheimer Allee 160. even though the occupation lasted just one day and even though the university administration filed criminal charges for breach of domestic peace: this day is pushing us much more and shows that it is possible to struggle for new spaces in bonn and that the occupation and utilization of empty buildings is a proper way towards them. we hope to see you soon again.

the self-organised youth centre SJZ[11], existing in siegburg since 20 years, is having heavy times with the despotism of the the city‘s administration. even though the city installed noise protection in the new SJZ building and even though the city‘s regulatory agency conducted sufficient noise measurements, the same agency threatened the SJZ at the end of last year with immediate police eviction if there should be just a single more complaint from the neighbourhood about too noisy events. this threat led to an temporary stop of all planned parties and concerts. after a demonstration on the 21th of december last year, the SJZ is now in negotiation with the city administration and already brought them to agree to conduct the necessary building measures within one month[12]. SJZ stays! and we wish you all our love.

we also sent our declaration of love to the ZAD[13], a piece of land nearby nantes, that is still occupied and that is fighting since its re-occupation by 30000+ people in november last year[14] against armed riotcops that are trying to enforce a useless airport construction with thousands of tear gas cartridges, rubber bullets and flashbangs [15], an airport construction that is prevented from being realized in this area since the 70ies [16].

we also sent our declaration of love to the Assentamento Milton Santos[17] in americana, nearby campinas in the metropolitan area of são paulo. Milton Santos is a land occupation existing since 7 years, hosting 68 families that live and work there and organize themselves [18] and that resisted on the 20th of december last year against a planned eviction with burning road blockades and the temporary occupation of the office of the governmental party (pt/partido dos trabalhadores) in são paulo [19]. a new eviction is scheduled within the next two weeks [20].
